Services offered to hospitals include:

Offered education includes 5-minute referral inservices through 4 ˝ hour trainings for designated requesters who approach families with donation options. If you would like to schedule an educational presentation, "please e-mail ProfessionalEd@dnaz.org

Regulatory Compliance: Donor Network of Arizona tracks data regarding organ and tissue donation referrals, potential donors and outcomes for all Arizona hospitals. These reports can assist you with proof of compliance.

Quality Improvement Programs: We can work together with your staff to set up Quality Improvement Programs for the organ and tissue donation. Not only can this help meet regulatory requirements to have Quality Improvement Programs, but it can also serve families better and save and improve lives.

Onsite Response: Donor Network of Arizona Organ Recovery Coordinators respond onsite to all neuro injured potential organ donors in order to evaluate for medical suitability, help facilitate family communication and participate in the approach for donation. If a family consents to donation, the Organ Recovery Coordinator will remain onsite at the hospital to coordinate the placement and recovery of organs for transplantation.

Triage Services: Donor Network of Arizona also provides a 24-hour triage center for all donor referrals and questions. Triage Coordinators evaluate referrals for medical suitability and can and act as a trained requester at any time to assist in the approach for donation.

Family Services: Once a family has consented to donation, Donor Network of Arizona staff follows donor families for 2 years. This follow up includes correspondence regarding the outcome of the donation, grief support materials and more. In addition, through the Donor Family Survey, we gain valuable information about donor families’ experiences. This information not only helps Donor Network, but can also be shared with donor hospitals.
