|
|
1.
|
A first-person account by a procurement coordinator, requestor, etc.,
about the challenges and rewards of working long hours in the fast-paced,
high stress and often heart rending environment of an OPO. Possibly consider
an interview of a procurement coordinator and the donor family who they
worked with.

2.
|
A first-person account by a nurse or hospital staff member who approaches
families with the donation option for their view on the process and how
donation can help a grieving family.
|
The Silver Lining –- Donor Family Profiles. Donate Life Month is a time
of quiet reflection for donor family members. Show the consoling effect
and positive impact organ donation can have upon the grief process. What
do donor family members say when asked, “What does your loved one’s gift
to others mean to you?”
|
The Real Pioneers –- There are Arizona recipients who have had their
organ for 10+ years. Consider a story about the long-term survivors,

on to others who may be waiting for a transplant.

On Common Ground –- Donor Network of Arizona has over 100 volunteers
statewide, many who are organ recipients or donor family members, all
who come from varied backgrounds, faiths, etc… but who work on a common
mission of increasing donation in Arizona to save and improve the lives
of others.
|
Tiny Warriors –- Consider a story on some of the young recipients,
there are many children in Arizona living full lives with their
