Lionel was a very good friend of the family. He had been a great advocate for veterans’ well-being and an immense support to my husband, a fellow veteran. Even though he wasn’t my daughter’s godfather, his actions show that he also cared for her as a godfather would. He passed away in December 2019, and that was when we found out he was an organ donor. Even in death, he is still helping and caring for others. We miss him dearly.
