Hello. My name is Richard. I cannot begin to express my gratitude and sorrow for the loss of your loved one at the same time. I have been in the medical field for over 35 years as both a firefighter/paramedic and a registered nurse. I understand how precious life can be. With the gift of life your loved one so graciously has given me, my life has forever changed.
On August 2025, my life forever changed. I was the recipient of the lungs from your loved one. My transplant was a bit of a rough one but, with family by my side and the gift of life I received, I am celebrating my one-year anniversary of my new life.

Saving lives and helping others is something I have done all my life. I do not know if my thoughts and prayers will help in the healing of your loss but, when I wake up each morning and look in the mirror and see the person looking back at me, I want you to know your loved one saved my life.
