Dan was a 32-year-old son, father of three, husband and resident of San Tan Valley, AZ. He suffered often with pain and struggled with an addiction to pain medication. In May of 2013 he overdosed. Although paramedics revived him, lack of oxygen had caused very severe brain damage. His wife made the difficult decision to end life support. She also chose to donate his organs. He would be happy to know that two Arizonans are alive and well from receiving his kidneys. Through his donation, something good came from something tragic!
