Elijah Perez, Donor

Elijah was such a caring kid. He loved animals and kids, and nearly every picture he had included one or the other. When he passed, I got messages from his friends, and they all told me they knew Elijah because he helped them through a hard part in their life. Elijah was 17 when he went to get his Arizona state ID. He decided quickly, after asking what it meant, to check the little box on the MVD form. Little did any of us know that one year later he would be pronounced brain dead and become an organ donor. While we will miss him greatly, it is very comforting that he has already given his organs to four people and also donated his tissues. He showed his caring heart even in death.
