Ida, Donor

My mom was born legally blind and wore very thick glasses all her life. Having to wear thick glasses brought her embarrassment and low self-esteem. When she passed in 2001, as an organ donor, a request for her eyes was done. I gladly said yes, and I know she couldn’t have been happier that someone was going to be able to use a part of her that caused so much pain, but would bring so much joy for another person.
