I was blessed with the gift of life in October 2015, with a heart transplant at Mayo Clinic Hospital in Phoenix. I got sick unexpectedly, went to ER and, after different hospitals, I ended up at Mayo for 70 days. Because my donor was selfless and wanted to help others, I was given the gift of life. I don’t know anything about my donor or their family, but I thank them every day for their extreme kindness for complete strangers. It’s hard to put into words what it means to my family and I. I would strongly urge everyone to sign up to be an organ/tissue donor. It is such a valuable gift for so many people. I will forever be grateful to my hero donor and their family. Nora
