My husband, Robert “Charlie” Chadwick, was a registered organ donor. Unfortunately, his organs nor tissue could be used after his death due to multiple issues. Charlie would have loved nothing more than to give another person such a wonderful gift. He loved life, loved all people and we spent 47 wonderful years together. Oh, how I wish you would have known him. He had the greatest sense of humor and the kindest heart. He suffered major eye issues with his retinas and cornea for years but always said, “you’re dealt the card and you have to play them the best you can.” And he did. He was not selfish. He touched the lives of everyone he met. It’s been a year today since I lost the love of my life. I want you to know he was a good man and wanted to help you.
