Several years ago, I suffered a knee injury that was never going to heal on its own.
I ended up receiving an ACL from a young woman who was tragically killed in a car accident.
I’m grateful every day for the gift that I received…though it will always be bittersweet, knowing that a young life was lost.
I will never take my ability to walk for granted.
I am on the donor list because when my time comes, I want to pay that gift forward. Whatever I have that is useable at that time, is my gift to someone else and their family.
