My 1-year-old son has Hepatoblastoma. Luckily, he is able to have surgery to have his tumor removed after having gone through chemo. However, we’ve already met with the transplant team at Phoenix Children’s Hospital just in case that was the direction we would need to go. They explained that there aren’t enough donors for how many people out there that need them. This really hit home for my husband and I. He became a donor as well. We gladly became donors in honor of our son.
