My father received two heart transplants. I was 13 years old when he had The first one in 1990 and doctors said it might give him another year of life. In 1999, on Valentines Day he received his second heart transplant. After the second transplant doctors said 6 months. He died in 2002. Because of the kindness of 2 strangers and their families who honored their loved one’s wishes, I had an extra 12 years with my dad. Myself, my family and my father will be forever grateful and honored by these gifts of life.
