Donate Life Month FAQs

Want To Celebrate With Us?

We’re here to answer all your questions on how to share the Donate Life message this April. If you have questions, contact your DNA coordinator or email us at PublicEdEvents@DNAZ.org.

No, the Donate Life Month Challenge does not cost money to participate. All supplies are free to participating organizations.

The Donate Life Month Challenge is a chance for organizations to partner with us during National Donate Life Month, observed in April each year. We aim to encourage people to register as organ and tissue donors and to honor those who have saved lives through the gift of donation. The challenge invites friendly competition into the campaign so that we can save more lives together. During the challenge, organizations can gain points by hosting Donate Life Month activities, registering Arizonans, sharing stories of donation and more. The organizations with the most points at the end of the month win! To learn more about how to earn points, review the Challenge Scorecard under Downloadable Resources.

By participating in the Donate Life Month Challenge, you have the chance to win free tickets to the Donate Life Day at the Arizona Diamondbacks game, happening on July 18, 2026.

All organizations that registered before the deadline of Friday, Feb. 27 will receive their t-shirts and supplies at the end of March. If your organization signed up after the deadline, we will do our best to get your materials to you as soon as possible. If you have specific concerns about your items, reach out to your DNA contact or publicedevents@dnaz.org.

Participating organizations typically celebrate Donate Life Month by hosting a registration table, either in their office space or at a public event, like First Fridays or a farmer’s market. Other organizations celebrate by raising the Donate Life flag in a small ceremony. You can also share stories of donation in newsletters or on social media. These are some of the most common ways to celebrate, but we encourage you to get creative! There are millions of ways to spark conversations about organ and tissue donations. Participating organizations have also hosted donation-themed bar trivia, pilates classes and candlelight vigils for donors.

Amazing! If your organization wants to participate, first meet with your team and review the resources on our website to start planning your activities for the month. Next, sign up on our website www.DonateLifeMonthAZ.org before Friday, Feb. 27. It’s okay if your events are still tentative; we just need to confirm the supplies you need and your t-shirt sizes to be able to guarantee those resources before the deadline. After you complete the form, your DNA contact will reach out to you to continue planning. If you don’t have a DNA contact yet, we’ll assign one to you! You can also reach out at any time to publicedevents@dnaz.org with questions.

On May 1st, your organization will receive an email with a link to complete a post Donate Life Month survey. This survey will ask for a brief report of everything that your team did to celebrate. Please complete it ASAP. The survey will also be posted on our website. We will announce the winners by the end of May via email and on our social media pages!

Absolutely! Check out our calendar of events at DonateLifeMonthAZ.org for opportunities to sport blue and green. Plus, we’re also always looking for volunteers. Learn more at DNAZ.org/volunteer.
